Ruin Road
Ruin Road takes place in the bootheel of Appalachia, in a poor coal town that is well past its prime. Jamie Matthews has lived here all her life but has only ever wanted to be elsewhere, and she no longer has anything to hold her here.

The summer before her senior year of high school, Jamie is ready to take her first trip away from home. She's made a plan to drive until she hits the ocean, and she's taking her friends Bobby, Ryan, and Jeb with her. Before they can leave, things start to go awry for Jamie and her friends, and they'll have to confront a mysterious pursuer, ghosts from their pasts, and the terrible truth that not everyone gets to make their life the way they want it.
Night Job
Night Job is the story of a summer spent working on a construction crew, a job I never thought I'd love. But despite all the blood, sweat, and swear words, I did. The people I met and the things we did taught me more about myself than anything I learned in a classroom.
